At the ITF U18 Grade 1 Tennis Tournament "Astrid Bowl" in Charleroi, Belgium, I played my way through three qualifying rounds and reached the 3rd round in the main draw in singles, and 2nd round in doubles. This tournament is being played by many good players so they can prepare for the upcoming Junior Grand Slam Roland Garros. I played very good tennis in six singles and two doubles for 5 days. With my hard-won victory in the second round of the main draw against the Russian Amina Anshba (ITF U18 No. 81.) With 0:6- 6:3-6:3 I scored my first win of my still young career against a top 100 ranked junior. I was very happy after I won the match ball by doing a drop shot. The following opponent Katharina Hobgarski, Germany (ITF U18 No. 58, WTA No. 580) was three and a half years older but and I was able to keep up very well at the start so I started leading 2:1 in the first set. Afterwards, however, I didn't believe in myself mentally, and physically I was at the end, after all these hard matches, so I lost 2:6-0:6. The entire tournament was an unexpected great success and these points will take me further in my ranking. The next big goal for me is to participate in a Junior Grand Slam. Next tournament I will play the ITF $10'000 in Israel.
